Gemini Omni 1.2 Flash adds longer video and lower pricing

Google released Gemini Omni 1.2 Flash on November 5, generally available through the Gemini API and Google Cloud as gemini-omni-1.2-flash. It generates and edits video with synchronized audio up to 15 seconds long. Google lists a price of $0.07 per second for 720p video, 30% below Omni 1.1. The release is also rolling out across Google apps, including the Gemini app for Google AI Ultra subscribers.

Google says reference following and character consistency have improved. Conversational editing lets users revise a clip without starting over, then upscale selected results to higher resolution. Some operations retain shorter limits: first-and-last-frame interpolation and individual extension turns support up to 10 seconds. Google acknowledges that fast sports action, rapid script changes, and complex physics still need improvement.
