Buying equipment for a growing child can mean paying for something used only briefly. StrollMe, a Frankfurt company renting children's bikes, strollers, and car seats by subscription, has secured €22 million through investment and borrowing. It plans to buy more equipment for customers in Germany, Austria, and the Netherlands, while preparing for further European expansion.
Returned products are professionally refurbished and rented again, then eventually sold secondhand through a sister brand. The business has completed more than 100,000 rentals. StrollMe says revenue rose around 70% last year, but popular models were sometimes unavailable, leaving demand unmet. Its next challenge is tangible: having enough of the right bikes and strollers ready when families need them.
