Tutor Intelligence raises $75 million to expand warehouse robotics

Warehouse boxes do not arrive in a single, predictable shape. Tutor Intelligence, a company building warehouse robots, has raised $75 million to expand production and improve the AI that helps its machines handle changing packages. Its mobile robot Cassie moves boxes between pallets and containers, while another robot, Sonny, uses two arms to pick items from shelves and pack them.

Tutor sells access according to usage, avoiding a large upfront equipment purchase. The company says the number of facilities using its robots has nearly quadrupled over the past year. Human demonstrations teach its models new tasks, and Tutor wants Sonny to move into assembly and equipment maintenance. Those broader uses remain plans; today's business is built around warehouse work.
