Google deprecates Gemini Omni Flash Preview on Google Cloud

Google deprecated Gemini Omni Flash Preview, identified as gemini-omni-flash-preview, on November 6 and recommends migrating to gemini-omni-1.2-flash. The older multimodal model is documented for the global Google Cloud endpoint through the Interactions API. Its published limits include 131,072 input tokens, 57,920 output tokens, and video up to 10 seconds long.

The notice matters for applications still addressing that exact preview identifier. Its feature table lists video generation, reference-based generation, editing, and generated speech, music, and sound effects, but no video extension or upscaling. Google provides a specific replacement model, while the deprecation notice does not specify a shutdown deadline or describe automatic request redirection.
